However, it was put on hold until December 2nd, 2022, on the Dew Drinker Discord, where Maui Burst was released in 12-packs on April 10th, 2023. On October 5th, 2020, renders for 12 packs of Maui Burst were found hinting at a possible 12-pack release. On February 1st, 2020, Maui Burst was re-released by popular demand to most Dollar General stores as a permanent flavor and sold in the same 16-ounce can size. It remained in Dollar General stores until November 2019. Maui Burst was officially released in Dollar General stores in the United States on October 16th, 2019, for a limited time, only in 16-ounce cans. ![]() On August 21st, 2019, on the Dew Drinker Discord, Maui Burst was first leaked by a trustworthy PepsiCo employee by posting an image of a prototype 24-ounce design before being reverted to the 16-ounce can with a limited-time release of an October 16th release date. Its tagline is " DEW with a Blast of Pineapple Flavor with Other Natural Flavors." History 2019 Limited-Time release While Maui Burst tends to shift to a more natural Pineapple flavor, Baja Gold tends to lean toward the more artificial Pineapple flavor.
